Imagine waking up in the morning in a beautiful B&B surrounded by the Sardinian countryside and getting ready for a day of visiting the archaeological site of Monte d'Accoddi, one of the most important sites of Pre-Nuragic Sardinia.

After a hearty and tasty breakfast, you get in touch with your tour guide, who is waiting for you at Villa Malvasio to take you on a journey back in time of about 5000 years. With a short car ride, you arrive at Monte d'Accoddi, an archaeological site of great historical, cultural, and archaeological importance.

The tour guide accompanies you along the site's paths, explaining the construction phases of the monument and its functions, the religious traditions, and the beliefs of the prehistoric peoples who built it. The site consists of a large terrace on top of an artificial hill, about 5 meters high, which was built around 4000 BC. On top of the terrace is a stone platform with an altar, where the ancient Sardinians probably celebrated religious rituals and sacrifices.

The tour guide also explains how the archaeological site was only discovered in 1954, during agricultural work, and since then it has been the subject of numerous studies and research by archaeologists and historians. One of the site's peculiarities is that it is located in a flat area, different from the typical prehistoric worship areas of Sardinia, which are often found in hidden and hard-to-reach places.

After visiting the main site, your guide takes you to see the other prehistoric structures in the surrounding area, such as the Giants' Tombs and the nuraghi, megalithic buildings typical of Sardinia.

Your dream experience ends with a lunch based on local specialties, such as the famous roast suckling pig, pane carasau, and Sardinian myrtle, a typical drink of the island.

Returning to the B&B Villa Malvasio, you will be happy and satisfied to have discovered such an important place for the history and culture of Sardinia, thanks to the tour guide who accompanied you with passion and professionalism throughout the visit.
